Well I'm down to about 77 days left in Iraq. I thought this day would never come. I return to the state around the middle of Sept and I can't wait. My time here as allowed me to do alot of thinking. It is hard to think that you would miss a place that you live in everyday. The day-to-day grind that is your life, you never stop and take a look around to see what it might be that you would miss if you had to leave. Well those things come to mind when you are sitting in a desert country. I never thought I would miss the smell of the blacktop road when the it just starts to rain on a mid-summer night. Or the feel of a lawn that is just been watered as you walk on it bare foot. But the one thing that you fine you miss the most is the touch of your love, family. It is funny just how one thing like a song will take you back to the moment you last felt them in your arms, and at that instant you can smell their hair and neck and you just melt...I'm almost there....
